Fog thicker than yesterday morning. Jewel-like droplets on everything. Too dim in the bottomlands to get many decent photo, but the thrushes were leery of dog and me. Also one particular chickadee. And ovenbirds.
It’s nice to get so far in the year that you know what’s nesting where.
Beech Hill List Beginning at 8 a.m., I hiked all trails.
Fog first thing, a deep overcast. Birds weren’t talking much, but neither were they silent. Heard an alternate cuckoo call up in the area where I nabbed a photo of one the other day. Got a photo of a yellowthroat.
A low-key but inspiring morning.

Calm day. Warmish. Mosquitos all over the place. Overcast, in the woodlands. Still I managed a decent list, managed, managed not to disturb any wildlife, managed a photo or two of birds on the hill.
