A similar day to yesterday, only nippier—a temperature of 19 degrees (F) when I first looked. Dog and I did manage to get up the hill a little earlier than yesterday.
Not as many clouds today, not too much of a breeze. The only two people we encountered today were neighbors out for a stroll.
I neglected to mention yesterday that I heard the Red-bellied Woodpecker again this morning at home, reminding me again of the first time I heard the bird’s burry call up here one spring maybe ten years ago, and how discombobulated it made me feel, since I’d only heard its voice back home in Austin. Now red-bellies and flickers are wintering over.
No snow to speak of yet this year. Kind of the opposite of a year ago.
