Cloudscape.

Last night I dreamed I was outside wearing a t-shirt and jeans and thinking the jeans were too much for how warm and sunny it was. (I also heard someone singing a country tune called “Lobster Town, USA.”) Then I awoke to a sunny day—but a chilly one, and with a gusty wind.

Remnants.

Later, the clouds thickened, and it got really gray out, and my dog and I went for a hike.

No one else on the hill today. Too windy up there. Amazing gusts, which I’m happy I dressed for. But despite the crazy wind, I was able to ID a few birds.

And, in a calm part of the trail on the other side of the hill—in a little lee, you might say—I found what was left of an unlucky bird. Victim of a hawk, I guess. By the feathers, I’m pretty sure it’d been a robin.
