Snow soon

Santa sighting, Beech Hill, Rockport, Maine, 25 December 2012.

Santa sighting.

A lovely sort of Christmas Day. Still, cold, and overcast outside. Jack and I took a quick hike—along with several other folks (and dogs)—and got a glimpse of Santa near the summit. I also got a glimpse of a titmouse but none of the other five species whose voices I heard up there.

Made a trip with the daughter late in the day. We saw a red-tailed hawk near Chickawaukie Lake.

Tonight the moon is bright. Snow soon.
