Birds are skittish

Tuesday, June 4th, 2013
Yellow warbler, Beech Hill, Rockport, 04 June 2013.

Yellow warbler.

Early hike. Sunny day, cool and fine. Mosquito or two. Birds are skittish. Nesting underway. Wood thrush still singing. Flicker again. Tanager, too. Jack spotted a deer.

Deer ear, Beech Hill, Rockport, 04 June 2013.

White-tailed deer ear.

Worked a lot. Rode my bike. Mowed the lawn.

Great crested flycatcher at my place again this evening—singing late, as is the phoebe and the robin.
