Dog and I got to the trailhead early, started our usual routine hike, found ourselves climbing up to the first ridge, then the second—and after a good long time and a climb of more than 3,000 feet, we ended up at the summit of Grandeur Peak.
Felt good, man. But the rest of the day we took it pretty easy.
The hike lasted five hours, and all my batteries ran out, so I missed getting a pic of the Mountain Chickadee that teed up not eight feet away from us. So here’s a pic of a robin in my front yard this afternoon.
