This morning after hiking the length of Beech Hill, I found myself listening to an unfamiliar, high, sharp, shortish song and casting about in the shade around the parking lot. And there it was, backlit, my first glimpse of a Bay-breasted Warbler. Cool.
Elsewhere, I had three other first-of-year species—and a couple-three decent photos.
