 American Goldfinch (stretching).
This morning, before
the temperature topped freezing,
little collections of goldfinches
bounced about
in the tops of the birches,
chattering,
nibbling on catkins,
and squealing with glee.

 Herring Gull.
Sun today.
Few clouds.
A little wind.
Mild temperatures
for the season.
Pleasant hike.
Nice harbor visit.
Many, many robins.
Big snow tomorrow.
