Warming

Thursday, March 24th, 2022
Robin of the morning, East Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Utah, 24 March 2022.
Robin of the morning.

Ah, warmer this morning, just as the prognosticators said it’d be. Again, with signs of spring: clear above, melting snow, drying trails, birds up in the juniper barrens—including an elusive Ruby-crowned Kinglet (second of the year). And a whole bunch of scrub-jays hollering and caching things.

Again many juncos, three finch species, the usual corvids. At home, another quail. And (again) four mammals.

Tomorrow’s supposed to be warmer—and the next day warmer still.
