House Finch (female), East Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Utah, 19 April 2020.
House Finch (female).

Had a mighty fine hike with Jack this morning. We took the back way up to the summit of the Pipeline Trail, then continued along the ridge to within full view of Grandeur Peak. Reached about 6,500 feet—with a new view below and above, some 360 degrees.

Saw a bunch of birds, too. But the one that stood out for me today was the beautiful female House Finch that popped up out my window in mid-afternoon.
