A nice, dry, cool morning. Again not overly remarkable for its wildlife sightings, but dog and I enjoyed it.
My bird of the day was a solitary juvie Mourning Dove, hanging out with a collection of finches (adults and youngsters). I like their motley, rumpled look—as if they’d slept last night in their clothes. The most unusual bird? I calling flicker. (Not rare, just quiet for a good while.)
Wonder what the morning will bring…
