A bit warmer this morning. A few clouds, a lot of haze—well, particulates—in the basin. Quite a few birds about, too.
Spied a Cooper’s Hawk early, and climbing the wooded canyon, came upon a large gathering of several species poking about in the old foliage. Chickadees, juncos, jays, a flicker, and another solitaire. More individual bird numbers there than I’ve ever encountered, I believe.
A fun hike otherwise, too—including a visit with two humans walking a half dozen dogs or so.
(Note: Spotted red-tail on the cell tower down in town by McDonald’s.)
