Took a quick hike this morning on account of approaching rain. We missed the rain, Jack and I—it began just as we got back to the parking lot—but did see a few birds in the cool(ish) overcast. Including a few sparrows, a few warblers, and the same Common Yellowthroat I saw a couple days ago panting. He wasn’t panting this morning.
I like to be out and about before the rain.
