Approaching solstice

Sunday, June 7th, 2015
Eastern Phoebe, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 June 2015.

Eastern Phoebe.

Up early and straight to work. Worked clear through until late afternoon, when Jack and I took a hike. A good hike, under a mostly overcast sky—with a sapsucker on my list for the second straight day.

Also saw the pair of phoebes nesting up at Beech Nut. The nestlings are pretty vocal.

Mowed the lawn this evening. Plenty bright enough, what with the solstice approaching.
