Cool and gray today—good day for office work. But I’d heard rain was coming and so checked the weather radar about midday, and sure enough here it came. Grabbed my camera and Jack’s leash and away we went.
Kinda cold and very windy upta Beech Hill. Nonetheless we encountered quite a few other people (and one other dog) up there. ’Course all the wide green leaves on the wildly swaying trees were rushing so loudly that I couldn’t hear as many species as usual—but I did happen to spot a hummingbird dipping into sapsucker holes near the parking lot.
Might’ve been the highlight of my day.
