Nippy Fall Morning

Friday, October 26th, 2018
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 26 October 2018.

Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Temps in the 20s (F) and quite the brisk breeze. Bright sun, at least—and a bunch of sparrows still. Four species. (Probably more, but I only identified four.) Yellow-rumps, of course, including one little bird that ended up hopping about on the Beech Nut veranda seeming a little tired and hungry. Finally fluttered away.

Hermit Thrush, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 26 October 2018.

Hermit Thrush.

Hermit Thrush on the way back down. And robins all over my yard.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
