Purple Finch, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 11 August 2017.

Purple Finch.

What a lovely cool morning. Gone is the near-oppressive humidity that kept the birds quiet yesterday. Today I ended up for 24 species on my list. Plus, a few butterflies—including a fairly rare White M Hairstreak (rare for this far north, that is). Love-love-love this day.
