Took an early hike with Jack today on account of a rumbling in the sky. Tall cumulus clouds had gathered, so I checked the weather radar, and a line of big storms were approaching from the northwest, but they seemed plenty far away yet, so we headed out. A little sun between the towering clouds. A friendly father-daughter team with binoculars. We talked birds, looked at birds, looked at the sky, finally headed down in time to miss the thundershower.
Rained like heck after we got home.
