Quite a scramble today. Crazy tasks to handle—but in the end, kind of gratifying. Quick trip with Jack to the P.O., then off to the hill we hike. Where, in the parking lot, we encountered three vehicles and seven people, who left just as we started up the trail.
The rest of our hike was solo. Or duo, I guess.
Warm. Jeans and sandals. But overcast after a day of sun—until we were descending again, when the sun came out.
No hummingbird. No raptors or odd species. Singing song sparrows, singing robins, singing vireos, singing redstarts. Phoebe nestlings at the summit. And as we turned out of the parking lot to leave, I spied a raven in the woods.
All in all, a decent Friday.
