It was a cool day in more ways than one: temperature and, well, general coolness. Spent much of it indoors with two great dogs—although mostly they just napped—and then took a hike up Beech Hill.
Quite a few birds today, including three kinds of thrushes—bluebird, robin, hermit—and a couple sparrows (only one of which I could ID). Bunch of crows in the staghorn sumac.
The fall color has already begun to decline, but the fragrance of the season persists.
And tonight is lusciously cool.
