
Second entirely cloudless day in a row. Typical for the beginning of summer in the high desert? Dunno, but it was a lovely hike with Jack my dog.
More bird species than yesterday. (More mammal species, too.) And one in particular—the last on my list—was the highlight: a bright male Wilson’s Warbler poking about in the thick greenery. Only got one clear glimpse, but it was a first for me out here.
Most cooperative photo subject was a gnatcatcher. (Thanks, guy.)
