What started as a quiet hike this bright, hazy morning turned into a busy one toward its end. First a big flock of goldfinches showed up out of nowhere, then a few flickers arrived, then a gang of chickadees appeared with a pair of (camera-averse) kinglets.
Juncos all over the place, insects (the sun warmed things)—not a bad for the first day of December.
