Hawk in Afternoon

Wednesday, October 28th, 2020
Red-tailed Hawk in afternoon, East Millcreek, Salt Lake City, Utah, 28 October 2020.
Red-tailed Hawk in afternoon.

The morning was cloudless (with a little ground-clinging smog below), with temperatures in the 30s (F). Not much wind to speak of—nor many bird species. About thirty juncos, and plenty of towhees and finches and such. Nothing extraordinary up the mountain trails, though.

So here’s a hawk I photographed from home this afternoon.
