
The sun is warmer in the high desert. Less atmosphere between our planet and its star. Today’s temperature rose into spring territory under a mostly sunny sky. And the ambience brought out a few birds.
Many in the neighborhood early, and no small number up the mountainside at midday. Most entertaining was the chickadee that found an old-but-fruitful sunflower head not far out my front window.
