Definitely Fall

Monday, September 30th, 2019
Ruby-crowned kinglet
Ruby-crowned Kinglet.

Nippy morning. Temps in the 40s (F) to start. Still damp from the rain, but dog and I headed up the mountain for what turned out to be a sweet hike—as usual. Not a lot of birds until the last stretch, while descending, when a little pod of chickadees brought with them a junco, sparrow, and kinglet.

Sun warmed things a bit. Definitely fall, though.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
