Precipitation

House Finch (male).

As forecast, we had big rains overnight—and lesser rains today. Lesser, but steady enough to discourage our seventh straight mountain hike this (very chilly) morning, Jack and me. We stayed home.

Yet still encountered several bird species—magpies, doves, finches. Took a trip in drizzle to buy groceries and admired great queues of Rock Pigeons on utility lines in town.

Still, looking forward to a nice long hike in the morning.
