Fox Sparrow.
Saw a little flock of Fox Sparrows this morning at Beech Hill. Saw or heard four sparrow species, in fact—five, if you count Dark-eyed Junco (and you should). Heard the throaty voice of a raven.
First frost this morning. First icicle in the eaves of Beech Nut.
First day of November.
