Blue sky and goldfinches

Friday, August 14th, 2015
American Goldfinch, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 14 August 2015.

American Goldfinch.

Pretty good day. Accomplished stuff. Did some errands. Drank a little champagne at the summit of Beech Hill. Champagne with blueberries in it. No, four of five blueberries. (The occasion was a cool art opening up there.)

Somebody’s a doofus, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 14 August 2015.

Somebody’s a doofus.

Also saw a bunch of goldfinches, although not much else.

Just remembered: a few days ago—Monday? Tuesday?—I saw two voles chasing each other back and forth across the trail near the Beech Hill Road parking lot. It was pretty amusing.

Today, though—blue sky and goldfinches.
