Gray, damp, foggy, intermittent rain. Took Jack with me when I voted. Took him with me to fill up with gas. Eventually took him with me to Beech Hill—where the fog rolled through fast, with a stout wind.
Saw my first wild iris of the year. So a raven fly over with something substantial in its bill—something I rather hoped was not a nestling. Saw the phoebes at the summit, saw Song Sparrows hanging around Beech Nut. Heard a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and a pewee.
June, although, has been particularly cold and gray.
