Gah. Busy, busy Monday. [Ending a fifteen-year business service—today!] But after some haze and clouds and brief snippets of sun and clouds, and the promise of more rain (on this rainiest year I can remember), I decided to check the weather radar about mid-afternoon. Sure enough, big rain coming. So Jack and I took off.
Quick walk up a warm and cloudy and muggy sort of wooded Beech hill trail. Not so many mosquitos. Plenty of birds—although they were mostly staying hidden. Got toward the top of the hill when the first drops of rain began to fall. So we turned right around and came down the lower wooded trail and walked fast and got back to the truck before it really began to come down.
Actually, it never really began to come down. But we didn’t get too wet. And I got a photo or two.
