On this first full day of spring, I took a hike up a mountainside with my dog.
I felt tiny snowflakes on my hands and face.
I slipped in mud and fell into a ravine—a good ten or twelve feet down—but landed on my feet and didn’t hurt myself hardly at all.
I watched robins scrounging for worms on my driveway.
I saw small green things emerging.
