Warbler and Crow

Friday, October 19th, 2018

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 19 October 2018.

Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Not quite as cold, not quite as windy. Overcast for a little while, then the sun came out. Surprise birds—Brown Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Red-breasted Nuthatch—along with the usual (for the season) crows and yellow-rumps. Plus, I got a very quick glimpse of a Merlin.

American Crow, Rockport, Maine, 19 October 2018.

American Crow.

Earlier, in the front yard by the road, I snapped a portrait of a crow.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
