Blueberries are ripening. The foliage is thick and green. Grass on the hill is tall and brown and waves in the afternoon wind. The earth at this latitude is covered with life, the lush look of life, and the sweet sound of it—even the sound of the breeze in the leaves we have the miracle of life to be thankful for. I got a photo of a croaking raven.
Aside from my late-in-the-day Beech Hill hike with Jack, this busy day kept me mostly indoors—but with windows out onto this miraculous planet.
