A clear, cool morning. Up fairly early, quite a few of the regular suspects. But after following a deer trail part-way up the mountainside, dog and I paused to take in the view–and I spied a Chipping Sparrow.
For sure the first chippie I’ve seen this year—and possibly my first in Utah. (Not that they’re rare here.)
Meanwhile, at home, I’ve got nesting House Finches and (nearby) starlings and robins and collared doves.
