
Late-morning hike in flurries and chill. Many birds near the trailhead—in fact, my entire Grandeur Peak list occurred with in the first five or ten minutes of an hour-and-a-half hike.
Later, we came upon a number of browsing and/or napping deer. (Jack even spotted a doe, who spotted him.)
A gift of a day.
