A warm, calm day. Similar to yesterday, weather-wise; dissimilar, bird-wise. Many more species today.
Notable were three silent warblers, either fattening up or passing through, or both. Also a raven, croaking, flying of toward the bay. A young catbird on the trail. A family of jays cracking nuts. A robin.
Lots of butterflies and dragonflies still.
Four days until my annual pilgrimage to Monhegan—barely visible on the horizon through today’s haze.
