Sunny and chilly today. Took care of a bunch of saved-up errands, then went with Jack to Beech Hill at midday. Met quite a few people coming down, but we were alone at the summit for a little while. No yellow-rumps, no sparrows, another harrier.
As we were returning to the parking lot, a chipmunk scurried quietly away from the trail to the left, cheeks full. Jack was looking right and didn’t see it. I grabbed a photo.
Nice big moon rising tonight.
