The light stays late this time of year. This evening, on my Beech Hill hike with Jack, the light this evening was moody and pensive and surreal, thanks to a lumpy layer of overcast that passed over. Birds were vocal but skittish, what with nestlings and fledglings and such.
Tonight is clear and starry. I’m remembering the moody light.
