Summer arrived. And what a prototypical summer day: warmth, sun, greenery, flowers, butterflies birds.
The usual suspects at Beech Hill Preserve this midday, but running errands earlier I did have the unexpected sighting of a brightly singing bluebird high atop a tall tree just behind the bottle-redemption center.
Also rode twenty miles on my bicycle. For the first time in more than three years (and about 4,000 miles), somebody passed me on Route 1—I think it was Lance Armstrong. Or if not Armstrong, certainly this guy was juicing. Also he kept running red lights and breaking other traffic rules. Ah, to be young and foolish again.
Dusk came late this evening. Guess it’s all downhill from here.
