Goldfinch and fox

Tuesday, April 19th, 2016
American Goldfinch, near Mount Battie, Camden, Maine, 19 April 2016.

American Goldfinch.

Cool and wet this morning. Decided against an early hike and hit the desk instead. Got very close to finishing this typeface finally.

Renard, near Mount Battie, Camden, Maine, 19 April 2016.

Renard.

Jack and I did’t get out until mid-afternoon, between showers. Sun and blue sky, then mist and overcast, then sun, then mist. I caught sight of no rainbows—but I did see a few birds. Heard more. Nothing like an early-morning hike, but still.

Best photo I got, though, Was of a backyard goldfinch. Also caught sight of the neighborhood fox out my back window. Three times. I like living in a fox’s neighborhood.
