Humans being human

Saturday, June 14th, 2014
Savannah sparrow, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 14 June 2014.

Savannah sparrow.

Gray and drippy when I awoke. Decided to work at my desk, which I did most all day. Fairly productive. And it dried up (while remaining overcast), so we had a fairly dry hike this afternoon at Beech Hill Preserve.

I did noticed that someone had removed all the new wild irisis in a little patch of them close to the lower trail. That was a bummer. Selfish jerks. But, oh, well. Just humans being human, I suppose.

Before twilight I stood outside for a while and looked up at the sky, which had partially cleared, watching clouds float by.
