Lots of activity lately. Work activity, hunting for a new place activity, bird activity. In today’s late-in-the-day hike, Jack and I didn’t run into too many people or dogs (the same number of each, actually—three), but I counted fourteen bird species.
They were lurking in the brush, flitting around in the blushing trees, or winging low over the barrens.
Actually, the crows were the only ones doing the latter.
