Black-capped Chickadee.
Got nippy again overnight, but the sun came out a little earlier than yesterday, and I saw my first-of-year Turkey Vulture on my way with Jack to the vet. Routine appointment—he’s the picture of health, as usual, and popular with the various caregivers.

Moose and squirrel.
Then we dashed up Beech Hill at about midday. Met only a couple other people, saw only a few bird species, but ran into two red squirrels—one of which seems pretty fearless.
Tonight it’s back in the 20s (F), and an overcast is obscuring the stars.
