Warmth, Wind

Woodhouse’s Scub-jay, East Millceek, Salt Lake City, Utah, 08 March 2021.
Woodhouse’s Scub-jay.

Another warm and windy hike—but this time mostly fair. I guess because of the stout, steady wind, birds were relatively few, although I did spy a high-flying sharpie up the deer trails. Moreover, the combination of wind and warmth has dried up much of the trail mud.

More action down in the neighborhood this day, though. Including a singing Song Sparrow.

Hardly more than a week until the equinox.
