Yellow-rumped Warbler, Beech Hill Preserve, Rockport, Maine, 07 October 2018.

Yellow-rumped Warbler.

I can’t tell you how many Yellow-rumped Warblers were flitting around the hill this morning. Even if I’d felt like counting them there were too many to count. Scores, perhaps a hundred.

Other birds also—including a large flock of crows and four bluebirds flying over. Fall migration continues.

A fun time of year.

Bird Report is a (sometimes intermittent) record of the birds I encounter while hiking, see while driving, or spy outside my window. —Brian Willson
