Cool and overcast morning. Temps in the low-60s (F) and a scant, fragrant breeze. Heard towhees teaching their youngsters to sing, saw another family of Barn Swallows, spotted a solitary Kingbird atop the tallest spruce in the summit grove, and through my binoculars caught sight of a Common Grackle flying by wayout toward the bay.
Also ate my daily fireweed blossom.
