After yesterday’s thaw caused the deep snow to diminish, last night’s deep freeze glazed the surface of the partly melted snow, and this morning’s hike proved slightly treacherous. Jack slipped once, but I managed not to take a tumble. Mid-thirties this morning, more thaw this sunny day, another solid freeze tonight.
Robins, robins everywhere. A few bluebirds also. Singing cardinal at home.
I feel the promise of spring.
