The warmth of this day surprised me. A stout southerly wind must’ve blown it in. I tried to concentrate on desk work, but my thoughts were of my bicycle. I didn’t last beyond early afternoon.
It being Veterans Day (observed), I had no mail to retrieve, so I just rode my typical Sunday route—Rockland to Camden and back. Heading north was a breeze; returning made my muscles achy. But achy in a good way. En route, I heard quite a few town birds but saw only crows and gulls. Traffic was fairly light, but I did see a couple other cyclists.
Afterward, I hauled Jack on up to Beech Hill. Quite a few birds up there, too, but I only saw a junco. And some pretty damn gorgeous skies.
