Got busy early, had a midday teeth-cleaning appointment, so dog and I took a fast hike today. Overcast turned mostly sunny, 40s (F) turned upper 50s, birds a-plenty. Noteworthy was a solitaire, along with the usual suspects.
In the neighborhood were a bunch of birds also—including a passel of quail on the roof next door.
Fine October day.
