Chilly, breezy, and overcast on the hill this morning. Felt a wintry chill up there, for sure. Spotted warbler and thrush and creeper and flicker and crow.
But most interesting was a surprise flurry of activity that occurred in my own little yard. First a pair of juncos nibbling on weed seeds. Then a Hairy Woodpecker hammering on the house. Then a House Finch and cardinal scolding dog and me back there.
Never hurts to have a few back yard birds.
